IF CREATIVITY IS CONTAGIOUS,
WE MUST PASS IT ON!
Microsoft, Lantern Technologies and IIca create IoT device to facilitate
agro-climate monitoring by producers
Microsoft, Lantern Technologies and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) have developed an Internet of Things device that will enable producers to monitor agro-climatic variables to inform decision-making in the management of their farms and to improve their yields.
It is the first climate station prototype designed with the latest Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and is equipped with sensors that capture real time data on variables such as soil and environmental humidity, temperature, precipitation, luminosity, dew, and wind speed and direction, to name a few.

We’re expanding in the U.S. with a new market-facing brand: LMD™ (Lantern Med Digital™).
After a decade building digital solutions for connected medical devices and other highly regulated applications, our Board has approved a significant investment to expand our direct presence in the United States under a new brand identity:
LMD™ (Lantern Med Digital™).

We are establishing direct commercial operations in North America while continuing to leverage our nearshore engineering teams in Costa Rica and across LATAM. As part of a select group specializing in R&D for the digital platforms that power connected medical devices, we will continue accelerating life-saving innovations into the hands of patients and caregivers—faster and more safely

This investment sharpens our focus on regulated, complex connected solutions for U.S. customers. More importantly, it underscores our commitment to grow with purpose, deliver with excellence, and remain a trusted partner.
What’s not changing?
Your relationship and projects with Lantern Technologies remain exactly the same. All contracts, project terms, SLAs, and support commitments continue as agreed under our corporate entity: Lantern Technologies. You’ll work with the same team, under the same terms, with the same dedication as ever.
What can you expect?
The same experience, speed, and ingenuity you count on—now with a stronger on-the-ground commercial presence in the U.S.
Email domain transition
Our new primary domain for the team will be @lmdlogic.com. However, rest assured that you can still reach us at our corporate domain, @lantern.tech, at any time. Other legacy addresses will be retired soon.
Thank you for being part of our story—and for letting us be part of your future.
Best regards,
Alban Sanchez - (CEO)
